JCB introduces 8026 CTS Compact Excavator

JCB’s unveiled its 8026 CTS compact excavator at the GIE+EXPO last week, our sister site, Total Landscape Care, reports.
Powered by three-cylinder, 24-horsepower engine, the 2.7-ton excavator features a new valve block and short pitch tracks.
The 8026 has a redesigned undercarriage, a top roller that replaces a metal skid plate and a swing turret that is 1.3 inches slower than previous models.
Auto kick down track motors increase onsite travel speed by 11 percent to 3.1 mph, while a dedicated boom and longer dipper arm deliver a maximum digging depth of just under 9.2 feet.
Balanced breakout forces offer higher productivity, and the bucket rotation minimizes bucket spillage during loading.
The automotive-grade cab interior includes a seat that slides 2 inches back and new rubber cab mounts that reduce the in-cab noise level to 77 decibels.
Other features include a longer stroke dipper cylinder and revised dig-end geometry, as well as a bucket-to-auxiliary changeover that allows the operator to use a ball valve to switch the oil flow from the bucket cylinder to the quick release connectors
Maintenance is simplified with the machine’s open turret design and angled track legs, which prevent build-up in the track frame by allowing material to fall from the undercarriage.
