CINCINNATI – Cintas Corporation, North America’s largest uniform supplier, has added the Carhartt Flame Resistant (FR) Jean to its exclusive line of Carhartt Rental Workwear.

The new product was prompted by the overwhelming success of the Carhartt Rental Workwear line and the increased demand for flame resistant clothing.

The Carhartt FR Jean is a Hazard Risk Category 2 garment made with 14.75-ounce, 100% flame resistant cotton denim. It features a relaxed fit and leg openings that fit over work boots for added comfort.

“Cintas provides a one-stop-shop for all flame resistant and personal protective equipment needs,” says Brad Heizman, National Director of Garment Strategy for Cintas Corporation. “We are the largest industrial provider of FRC managed programs in North America, as well as the only company in the industry to offer Carhartt FR Rental Workwear.”

The Carhartt FR Jean combines the durability, quality and comfort of the Carhartt brand with Cintas’ high service standards and the benefits of a rental program. When it comes to FRC, professionally managed rental programs are particularly important because of the specialized laundering process helps maintain the garments’ level of protection for the wearer.

“We are very pleased with our relationship with Cintas and the success of the Carhartt Rental Workwear line,” says Rick Fecowicz, director of Carhartt Licensing. “The step into flame resistant rental products is a natural one, and we are excited about the opportunity the Carhartt FR Jean will present.”

Cintas Corporation also provides personal protective equipment such as face shields and balaclavas, voltage tools, task wear and more.

The Carhartt Rental Workwear line launched in 2010 as part of an exclusive partnership between Cintas Corporation and Carhartt, which was founded in 1889 and is a global manufacturer of premium rugged apparel. The line also includes a Work Shirt available in blue and sandstone, a Carpenter Jean, a 5-Pocket Work Jean, a Dungaree Pant available in navy and duck brown, and the Carhartt Rental Active Jacket available in Carhartt brown. For more information about Carhartt Rental Workwear from Cintas, visit: www.cintas.com/Carhartt.

About Cintas

Bendix Wingman Advanced delivers adaptive cruise control with braking features along with collision mitigation technology.

The system builds upon the company’s full-stability technology — Bendix ESP — providing fleets with a system that can help drivers in collisions, potential rollovers, and loss-of-control situations. Using a radar sensor mounted to the front of the vehicle, the system delivers both warnings and active interventions to help drivers mitigate rear-end collisions. The system provides following distance and stationary object alerts, which are always available — regardless of whether cruise control is engaged.

Titan recommends the 850 for light, periodic-duty on small parking lots. Featured with the unit is the removable LX-40 Spray Gun with in-handle filter and reversible striping tip. Pressure rated at 3000 PSI (20.7 MPa), the LX-40 uses a tungsten carbine ball valve.

The 850 has a folding handle for easy transport and storage, carries a 5-gallon paint pail (not included) with a 37.7 cc, 4-stroke engine. A reversible gun mount allows stripe off on either the front or rear tire and the tires are made of a formulated poly for smooth riding.

InSync, the smart traffic signal system selected for hundreds of intersections in 18 states, now installs in as little as one day due to its universal compatibility with all forms of existing traffic control equipment. Rhythm Engineering’s new InSync:Tesla allows cities and states to easily achieve InSync’s award-winning traffic improvements using any major type of traffic controllers, detection devices and communication networks. Previously InSync required a proprietary form of video detection.

he company will offer live webcasts introducing the technology March 6-8. Participants will see InSync:Tesla deployed and turned on in four hours, learn how it works, understand the algorithm’s in-field performance and hear directly from multiple agencies operating InSync. More details are at www.RhythmTraffic.com/Tesla.

InSync:Tesla marks a giant leap forward for the traffic technology industry. Just ten years ago, most U.S. cities and states resisted adaptive traffic control systems that changed traffic lights based on actual demand because they were expensive, time-consuming to set up, and did little to alleviate congestion.

The rise and rapid spread of InSync proved that the right approach to adaptive traffic control can dramatically improve traffic flow and safety. Motorists driving on InSync corridors typically see their stops reduced 60-90 percent, travel times reduced up to 50 percent, and fuel consumption and emissions reduced 20-30 percent. Most importantly, police reports from multiple states prove that InSync reduces vehicle accidents up to 30 percent.

“It’s unheard of to deploy adaptive traffic control in a single day,” said Dr. Reggie Chandra, P.E., founder and CEO of Rhythm Engineering. “The legacy systems took months of installation and configuration time, and even then, they were still a gamble. Now traffic engineers can get a proven solution, InSync, and install it in just hours. InSync:Tesla changes everything.”

InSync:Tesla’s compatibility with any form of vehicle detection, including inductive loops, radar, magnetometers and video, means the system can determine traffic demand using existing vehicle detectors. The enhancement is expected to appeal to traffic leaders who prefer physics-based detection yet need InSync’s artificial intelligence to optimize traffic signals and get vehicles moving.
