CalCIMA calls for conference papers

Paper proposals related to the aggregate, industrial materials, ready mixed concrete, cement and asphalt industries for the California Construction and Industrial Materials Association (CalCIMA)2010 Education Conference are are being accepted.
Proposals are being accepted in all segments of the industry; aggregate and mineral producers, suppliers, consultants, government, etc. The following categories will be considered, but are not limited to the following:
- Aggregate Production
- Air Quality
- Asphalt
- Business Planning
- Case Studies
- Cement Industry
- Climate Change
- Community Relations
- Education
- Environmental
- Fish & Wildlife
- Governmental Affairs
- Health and Safety
- Human Resources
- Legislation
- Mine Operation
- Mining
- Public Relations
- Permitting
- Ready Mixed Concrete
- Reclamation
- Regulatory Activities
- Operations
- Water Quality
- Taxation Issues
Presentations will be selected based on overall quality, relevance to current issues, practical application toCalifornia’s legislative and regulatory climate or general interest to the membership.
Priority selection will be given to CalCIMA members. Presentations are generally limited to 20 minutes each, followed by a brief question and answer period.
Call for papers will be accepted until July 15, 2010.
The conference is slated for Sept. 21-24 at the Catamaran Resort in San Diego.
CalCIMA is unable to pay honoraria or travel expenses.
