DONALDSON INTRODUCES TWO SPIRACLE CRANKCASE FILTRATION SYSTEMS AT 2008 CONEXPO-CON/AGG SHOW
August 27th, 2008
Company: Donaldson Company
Category: Hydraulic
The Spiracle CFS removes crankcase aerosol and particulate using Donaldson”s proprietary Synteq XP, a breakthrough new media that has a lower operating pressure drop, higher overall efficiency (>95%) and longer filter life compared to traditional media. Spiracle CFS systems reduce blow-by emissions generated from an open crankcase vent and prevent fouling turbochargers or intercoolers in CCV systems. Spiracle CFS also reduces in-cab fumes and draft tube “road drips,” keeps the engine enclosures free from oil film and reduces engine oil consumption. Spiracle CFS is a serviceable filtration system that employs a custom-designed pressure regulator in CCV systems to reduce excess vacuum and custom-designed pressure relief value to prevent excessive crankcase pressure build-up.
