Sam Elters

Parsons has hired Sam Elters as regional transportation director in Arizona and Nevada.

In this position, he will be responsible for all road and highway projects in this region, and he will serve as the lead for major pursuits, including public-private partnerships, design-build projects, and design and construction management projects.

Prior to joining Parsons, Elters was chief engineer of the Transportation Corridor Agencies in Irvine, Calif.

Before that, he was state engineer for the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Intermodal Division. He also served as chief executive and administrative officer of the division, responsible for providing leadership and direction to more than 2,200 full-time employees.

During the course of his career, Elters has contributed to a number of important projects, including the SR-241 completion project and the SR-241/SR-91 Express Lanes Direct Connector, in California, as well as the U.S. 93/Hoover Dam Bypass, the Loop 202 construction, and the I-10 completion projects, in Arizona.

In addition, Elters was responsible for delivering Arizona’s $6.5 billion, five-year capital improvement program in his role as State Engineer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Northern Arizona University.

Jerry Teague is Major Wire's new territory manager for the south central United States and Puerto Rico.

Major Wire named Jerry Teague as its new territory manager for the south central United States and Puerto Rico.

Teague will work directly with Major Wire authorized dealers and aggregate, mining and recycle customers in Arkansas, southern Illinois, eastern Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, eastern Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas (excluding El Paso) and the United States Territory of Puerto Rico.

Teague’s experience comes from serving for five years as a G.W. Van Keppel sales specialist for the Missouri aggregate industry and most recently as crushing and screening manager at Custom Truck & Equipment in which he served customers in Missouri, Kansas and surrounding states.

“Jerry has been on the road selling Major Wire’s Flex-Mat 3 & OptimumWire screen media for nearly 10 years as part of our authorized dealer network,” said Gary Pederson, vice president of sales at Major Wire. “He is very familiar with the industry as well as our company and the benefits of our screen media, making him a valuable asset to our customers in the south central United States and Puerto Rico.”

As Major Wire’s newest territory manager, Teague’s responsibilities will include offering the company’s Flex-Mat 3 Tensioned and Modular High-Performance, Self-Cleaning screen media technology as well as the OptimumWire. Teague will also work with Major Wire to conduct on-site screening plant audits for customers.
